The
track has a stand which can seat 300+. It is a 400m track
with 8 lanes and an 8 lane straight.The track has changing
facilities including disabled provision. It has full field
event facilities and a steeple-chase water jump.

The
track was built originally in cinder in the 1960's. It was
upgraded in 1987 to synthetic with floodlights and a pavilion.
It was patched, cleaned, resprayed and remarked in May 2000.
The pole vault area has been enlarged for safety reasons and
the throwing areas relaid.

A
new cage specially designed to cope with the strong winds
due to it being near the coast was installed.

To
join the athletic club you have to be 10 years of age. Track
tickets currently cost, adults £2.05 and children £1.05.You
can buy track passes for either 6 months or 12 months.

The
Blackpool & Fylde Athletic Club club house opens on club
nights, Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm till 9pm. It serves
sweets and hot drinks and snacks. Results are also on display.
